Society for animal liberation and their rights

We are a volunteer, non-profit organisation, that fights for a better position of animals. We strive for the enforcement of animal rigts in the slovenian constitution, in regulations and also in practice, so that animals could live their respected lives, that is soutable to their kind, freely, in peace and without fear that somebody would hunt, torture or kill them. The society strives to protect animals on all fields of human social life. From the year 2006 the society has a status of being the non-government organisation of the Republic of Slovenia, that operates in public interest on the field of animal protection.

The society has around 500 members and was established in 2002.

Goals and purposes

To reach the goals and purposes, society is carrying out these following tasks:

  • striving to dismiss the current state, where human uses animals for his needs
  • striving to spread consciousness about the oneness of humans, animals and nature
  • striving to abolish animal agriculture
  • striving for the formal recognition of animal rightsp
  • striving to abolish hunting/poaching
  • striving to abolish the testing on animals
  • informing the public about the poor state of animals
  • informing the public about harmful effects of animal diet
  • striving to abolish any kind of animal torture
  • educating about the protection of animals.
